Oracle Product Specialist

Continental Resources, Inc. is the nationwide source for systems and network integration, network design and support, on site and remote services, multi-vendor solutions, hardware installation consulting and lifecycle services. We are currently looking for an Oracle Product Specialist to work in our Corporate Headquarters located in Bedford, MA.

The Product Specialist primary focus is to drive the sales for Oracle products. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales for the Systems and Network Integration Division.

Primary job responsibilities:

Sales and Management

•Work with President and Vice President to establish and maintain a business plan and associated revenue, inventory and marketing goals for Oracle products for the corporation as a whole, as well as each individual branch.
•Work with Office and Regional Systems & Network Integration Division Sales Managers and their staffs on a daily basis to instill the requirements necessary to reach established goals for the Oracle product line. This includes development and implementation of sales training and presentations, assisting on customer sales calls as well as developing and assisting in the development of written and in-person customer proposals.
•Work with the Marketing Department to coordinate marketing activities and public relations for Oracle products
•Coordinate management of all types of inventory (including demonstration equipment) with various departments or groups including Sales, Purchasing and Asset Management.
•Maintain a high degree of product knowledge for Oracle by attending seminars, training classes or various other conduits.
•Develop and maintain close relationships with vendor(s) of Oracle on a national and regional basis. These relationships should also be introduced to the Office and Regional Systems & Network Division Sales Managers and Director of Services as appropriate.
New Technologies •Work with the President and Vice President to articulate a vision for new technologies and solutions.
•Develop technology strategies and solutions for new practices and “first of kind” projects
•Work with Office and Regional Systems & Network Division Sales Managers and Director of Services to develop game plan for implementation of identified and approved technology strategies.
•Work with Director of Services to assure that proper training is provided to the technical organization on new solutions technologies.
•Work with Office and Regional S & N Division Sales Managers in specifically identified offices to assure that proper training is provided to the sales organization on new solutions technologies.
•Develop local and regional relationships with vendors identified as key to developed technology strategy.

Time Allocation:

•Developing sales management practices necessary to drive revenues
•Working with management to develop and implement a business plans
•Helping manage the execution of technical strategies in the early phases of these projects
•Briefing key clients on key technology trends
•Identifying emerging technologies for initial assessment
•Work with Office and Regional Systems & Network Division Sales Managers to prepare branch office budgets, staff plans and performance reviews as required.


Requirements:

•2-5 yrs experience in a sales or marketing role
•1 yr of experience specializing in or working with Oracle Products
•BA/BS or equivalent work experience
•Oracle Sales Certification is a major plus!
•Must be able to maintain a level of professional conduct appropriate to the members of the corporate management team.
