We are currently looking for an IP Telephony/Converged Communications Delivery Engineer for our Cisco Solutions Group in our New York City Office.
The Delivery Engineer provides site-survey, detailed design, implementation and troubleshooting services in the Voice, IP Telephony, Converged Communications and related technologies to Continental Resources’ customers. The Delivery Engineer also provides pre-sales support and information to Continental’s Account Managers, though the majority of their time will be devoted to post-sales services. Responsibilities · Provide low-level design services in the many technologies related to Converged Voice and Video · Design, install and troubleshoot voice and IP Telephony solutions based on Cisco’s products and solutions · Document and share information learned on projects with peers within Continental’s Professional Services organization · Participate in sales calls and presentations with customers when required · Assist Solutions Architects and Account Managers in discovery and design of customer solutions · Participate in training classes and partner-provided information sessions as part of regular personal growth Requirements · Extensive experience designing and deploying VoIP and IP Telephony solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers · Knowledge in two or more Cisco voice applications such as: - Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) - Unity and/or Unity Connection - MeetingPlace and/or MeetingPlace Express - IPCC Express - Mobile Connect/Mobility Manager - Emergency Responder - Other current Cisco Voice applications - Strong understanding of voice/telephony technologies including: - Dial plan design (Gatekeeper and CallManager-based) - Call routing and control protocols (H.323, MGCP, SIP, SCCP) - Voice circuits and protocols (Q.SIG, ISDN PRI, CAS, FXO, FXS, PLAR, POTS, E&M, etc) · In-depth knowledge in IP networking, LAN/WAN Switching, and QoS techniques · Knowledge of traditional TDM PBX systems currently in regular production (Avaya, Nortel, Mitel, etc) in addition to the above voice technologies is a plus · Solid background in professional services or considerable experience in a pre-sales engineering role · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to work in a fast-paced deployment services environment · CCVP or equivalent experience is required; CCIE Voice is a major plus! · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Computer Science related field typically required |
