Continental Resources', XPRO Systems Division Announces Support for New Intel Itanium 2-Based ServerJune 30, 2003 - [Hudson, NH - June 30, 2003] XPRO Systems, a division of Continental Resources, is proud to announce that they will support the newly released Intel® SR870BH2 server platform with up to two Intel® Itanium® 2 processors with 6MB of level 3 cache in a 2U rack-optimized form factor. The SR870BH2 server platform, which will be available in the next few weeks, is a second-generation design based on the Intel® Server Platform SR870BN4. XPRO Systems enterprise servers based on the SR870BN4 server platform are currently shipping, and support up to four Intel Itanium 2 processors with up to 3MB of level 3 cache in a compact 4U rack-optimized chassis. New XPRO Systems servers based on these Intel Itanium 2-based server platforms are targeted at business and scientific applications that demand performance, availability and reliability.
